I'm back from San Diego. My boss and I went there on business this week. It was my first time to the West Coast and I have to say it was very beautiful scenery. I can see why people would want to live there now.

Well, its been a while since I've blogged. Things are going well and this site is 100% functional in all current browsers, including Safari, Opera and Google's Chrome. Other things are new as well, but if you're in my inner circle you know what those are and if not, well some things are STILL personal.

I've been at the Microsoft Tech-Ed 2008 convention the past 2 days and its been great. Yesterday heard Bill Gates last public appearance as head of MS and took some good hands on labs and attended a few lectures. Today I took more classes and labs and have to say I loved the class on LINQ and got a nice demo from one of the MS pros on IIS 7, which has some really nice features. Two more days to go. I'll post again after Friday's session.

Microsoft's Tech-Ed 2008 is in Orlando, close to home and my company is sending my development group. Its June 3-6 and I'm really looking forward to it. I'll have to post each day what I did/learned.

I turn 39 this week. One more year in my 30's then I think I'll feel officially middle-aged. Otherwise things are going well. My job is going well and we're working on interesting projects. Things at home are nice as well. Hopefully I can get out fishing again soon.

I'll be updating my personal sites soon. I've already done all the coding for THIS site, but I have to implement a new design. I have some ideas but haven't gotten deeply into it yet. I'm either going to have a more colorful, graphics laden design or I may go CSS happy and keep the graphics to a minimum, or perhaps I'll do both and allow the visitors to choose the version.

I still have a free pass to visit each Disney park one time before April 30th so we went to Epcot today. We had a good time. The weather was great and for a weekend it wasn't too crowded.
Lake Mary Car Wash are crooks - 11/5/2007 1:19 PM
We took my VW Golf to Lake Mary Car Wash to get the oil changed. After we got home we noticed oil under the car in the driveway. When I popped the hood I discovered they snapped the plastic sleeve on the dipstick. So now the oil pumps out from there when it gets hot. I called and they LIED and claimed it was like that before, when I know it wasn't because I check it often. Then they LIED AGAIN and said it was a recall part, NOPE, checked online and there are NO RECALL parts for my car. DON'T GO THERE. Lake Mary Car Was will ruin your car and not accept blame. $430 later I can say it was an unpleasant learning experience. Change your OWN oil!

Well didn't get to go fishing today. The weather is looking bleak and there is a red tide up where we fish. I'm kinda bummed, but I like to catch keepers so I guess its not that bad.

My brother and I are heading out to our favorite fishing spot again this coming weekend. I've got a few new lures and some new hooks I want to try. Last time we went out there we killed. Hopefully we'll do it again.
